The Alec Bradley Project 40 Robusto blend consists of a Nicaraguan wrapper with a flawless appearance, beneath which lies a Brazilian Sun Grown binder and various filler tobaccos from Nicaragua. The long filler, hand-rolled in the Jesus Fuegos manufactory, starts pleasantly mild and develops a wonderfully voluminous smoke. Its quite complex aroma is determined by a creamy almond note and delicious raisin sweetness, which is joined by delicate tones of earth, toast, cedar wood and cocoa. Various spice aromas and nuances of white pepper can also be identified at the retronasal level. The Robusto, which comes up with a perfect draw behavior, increases in strength as the smoke progresses, but remains in the moderately medium-strong range until the end.
